Dear readers,

Volume 5, Issue 4 (2025) of the Catholic Science & Life Journal presents a coherent set of scholarly articles that deepen theological reflection and offer pastoral orientation for the Church in a rapidly changing social context. The issue addresses key themes such as a Christ-centered understanding of faith, Christ as the norm for the Church’s life, and a balanced theology of the Cross, alongside timely and practical concerns, including mercy, justice, social engagement, and reconciliation. A distinctive strength of this issue is its consistent thread: it situates Christian life and the Church’s mission within the mystery of Christ, while also proposing pathways of discernment for living the Gospel amid contemporary realities.

Volume 5, Issue 4 (2025) gratefully acknowledges the academic contributions of Prof. Dr. Fr. Fx. Nguyen Hai Tinh, SJDirector of the Saint Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate, Vietnam —who is the author of all articles in this issue. The Editorial Board sincerely thanks the author for generously sharing his research and theological insights, which enrich the dialogue between theology and lived experience and further enhance the journal’s scholarly quality.
