Abstract

When it comes to prayer, there are many definitions and various forms, but all aim to express the relationship between humans and God. Alongside this, the importance of prayer is undeniable, whether it's the collective prayer of the community or the private prayer of individuals. This becomes even clearer and more crucial for those living a consecrated life. However, to persevere and remain faithful in prayer is not simple, as it always presents ongoing challenges. From this reality, the research topic on the private prayer life of student monks is carried out in the environment of the Saint Alphonsus Theologate, aiming to highlight the priority of individual prayer for monks in their study phase, thereby emphasizing the importance of personal prayer for everyone, particularly those following Christ in consecrated life.
