Jesus Christ – The Mediator And The Sole Savior Of Humanity

Abstract

The universal nature of salvation means that it is not only bestowed upon those who profess faith in Jesus Christ and have joined the Church. Because it is given to all people, salvation must be accessible in a specific way to everyone. However, the reality is that today, as well as in the past, many people do not have the opportunity to know or accept the proclamation of the Gospel or join the Church. The social and cultural conditions in which they live do not allow them to do so, and they are often nurtured in other religious traditions. For people like them, even though they may have some kind of mystical connection to the Church, salvation in Christ through grace does not formally make them members of the Church. It merely illuminates their path in accordance with their spiritual and physical condition. This grace is bestowed by Christ; it is the fruit of His sacrifice and is granted through the Holy Spirit. This grace helps each person attain salvation through their free cooperation.
