Abstract

People are not perfect, as being human entails both common flaws and weaknesses. Therefore, no one has the right to judge their brothers and sisters, but rather, they should show love and compassion towards others, following the teaching: 'Love your neighbor as yourself,' a law taught by God. Indeed, in a hymn, it is written: 'Where there is love and compassion, there is God's grace. Where there is kindness, there He bestows His blessings. Where there is charity, God's blessings never cease. When hearts are united, there lies true happiness. However, the ideal for a monk or a nun is to live and follow the example of Christ. While this might sound easy, putting it into practice is the real challenge. This empathy needs to be concretized through actions, such as visiting patients who have overcome their addictions, to establish a close bond and show compassion. It is a way to lift their spirits, provide a listening ear, and support their mental stability, helping them stay determined to avoid relapse. Moreover, it is essential to encourage not only the group members but also others to join in these visits. This approach can help change people's perceptions positively. This, indeed, is a solution that a group can propose.
