Abstract

This study focuses on presenting the reasons that led a number of Catholic brothers and sisters to decide to participate in the Level 1 Catechist Training Program for the 2024–2025 academic year, organized by the Catechetical Committee of the Archdiocese of Saigon. More specifically, the purpose of the survey is to explore why some individuals have chosen to go 'against the current' in the face of a world dominated by individualism, hedonism, and utilitarianism. Additionally, the study seeks to understand whether all the sacrifices involved are considered worthwhile, despite the many challenges encountered in various aspects of life.
