When the Word of God Is Proclaimed in the Liturgy

This article explores the essential and dynamic role of the Word of God in the Church’s liturgical celebrations. When proclaimed, the Word becomes a means of teaching, reconciliation, healing, and nourishing the faith of the faithful. The liturgy provides a sacred space where the Word of God resounds vividly, deepening participants’ understanding of holy mysteries and opening them to divine grace. Through homilies, the Liturgy of the Word, and the sacraments, the Word enlightens, calls for conversion, and fosters spiritual growth. The article emphasizes that the Word of God is not only the foundation of the liturgy but must also be lived and proclaimed in daily life as a continuous mission flowing from the Table of the Word and the Bread of Life.
