The Trinitarian Dimension and the Testimonial Character of Living Charisms

Today, the Church is calling all members to live the spirit of synodality, in communion, participating in the life and mission of the Church. The participation of the members in the life and mission of the Church is closely linked to living the charisms that have been given. This article chooses to analyze the passage 1 Corinthians 12,4-7 from the perspective of charisms according to the theology of Saint Paul. The passage 1 Corinthians 12,4-7 shows that living charisms is not only a fruit of the Spirit, but also a way to live the Trinitarian dimension in the Church. Furthermore, living the given charisms is also a way for the faithful, especially the laity, to bear witness to the Spirit in today’s world. The theological meaning drawn from 1 Corinthians 12,4-7 helps the faithful to embrace and live the charisms more fully; thereby actively fulfilling the Church's call to live synodality.
