What are the solutions for young people facing the problem of abortion?

The issue of abortion is becoming increasingly serious in Vietnam, with the highest rate in Asia and the fifth highest in the world. The Catholic Church strongly opposes abortion, considering life to be a sacred gift from God and the foundation of all fundamental rights. To address this, comprehensive sex education is essential, helping young people understand, respect human dignity, and recognize the value of life. This education should make them sensitive, confident, and able to avoid difficult situations. Accompanying young people is the top priority of the Church. They need guidance from family, teachers, and spiritual mentors. Families, as the first place of education, must take on this responsibility. Educators and youth pastoral workers need to be professionally capable of providing support. Emphasizing sex education and the value of life helps young people make the right choices and protect life.
